Day 2 - we can turn!

What an amazing day we've just had! Today we were concentrating on the second most important lesson - how to turn! It didn't take long for everyone to master the basics and we were soon weaving in and out of the poles. No injuries to report! The instructors are delighted with our progress and, if the conditions are right tomorrow, they plan to take all the groups to the nursery slopes right at the top of the mountain. Fingers crossed! Last night we enjoyed the ten-pin bowling - the name of the overall winner is a closely-guarded secret but can you guess? Tonight we're off to the disco, a chance for the teachers to learn some new moves! Which of the children will be crowned king and queen of the dance floor? Don't forget to leave us a comment!

Day 1 - we can stop! (most of the time! )

It definitely wasn't a typical Monday morning for our super P7 skiers! We arrived at the slopes to be greeted with lots of fresh snow and then met our fantastic ski instructors Radka, Steff, Yanko and George. Despite the freezing temperatures and the falling snow, we quickly started to learn the most important lesson of all - how to slow down and stop! You'll be delighted to learn that everyone is making great progress and that there are no injuries to report! We love your comments - keep them coming!

We have arrived!

It's almost half past six here in Pamporovo and we're heading to dinner at last!
The flight was great and we had a super drive up the mountain without anyone feeling sick! Tonight we'll be getting sorted with our ski helmets, having some quiet time around the hotel and then an early night!  We are due to meet our instructors at 9am tomorrow morning and then the fun really begins!

Ashfield Girls' - alternative arrangements

Since we will be away for the open nights at both Ashfield Girls and Ashfield Boys, the staff at Ashfield Girls have arranged an alternative date of Tuesday 12th January at 2.15pm so that our girls can still take a tour of the school and meet the staff and pupils.
If you wish to take up this visit, please ring Ashfield Girls to confirm your place.  It is the responsibility of parents to accompany the girls.
If it's Ashfield Boys that you wish to go to see, please ring them directly to organise an appointment.

Great meeting last night!

A big thank-you to everyone who came along to last night's meeting - we hope we didn't bombard you with too much information!  Copies of the medical form and last night's note are now available on the school website - click here to download an extra copy.  Another letter will be sent home on Monday with all the details of our flights as well as a few final reminders.

Don't forget that the parental consent form must be returned by tomorrow (Friday) and all the passports and pocket money must be in school by Tuesday 12th please.
